As Director of Flip the Script Empowerment services my staff and I, for two decades served undoubtedly one of the largest concentration of low-income City of Detroit-Wayne County residents. Numerous populations were afforded our services inclusive or men and women, eighteen (18) years of age and older. Flip the Script services were consistently considered a local and national model of excellence within our footprint. That being said the contractors, vendors or individuals I/we contracted with had to meet the same threshold of excellence. After having Dr. Muhammad join a panel of women, for a discussion on racial injustice, I became very in tune to her professionalism, wisdom, and passion for educating and empowering young girls. I am deeply grateful for the opportunities we shared.

For a series of documentary screening forums, Dr. Muhammad joined a panel of women for Q&A sessions. She spoke for multiple public forums with thought provoking conversations and answers. What started out to be a one-time collaboration immediately led to the request for Dr. Muhammad to speak at three additional forums. Dr. Muhammad was graciously available for sessions that overall made an impact on well-over a hundred young girls, women, and some families.

She showed up as her authentic self; and lead a powerful speakers forum being reflective, challenging and rejuvenating. She brings an element of grace and shine while embracing the minds and hearts of her audience. She also has a way of letting her audience know that she recognizes that everyone is on their own journey; and she is available and willing to make a positive and meaningful impact along their journey.
